Steve Somerfield – Goaltending Coach & Strength Coach

A former junior, collegiate, and professional player, Steve brings over 22 years of goalie coaching experience and owns Defiance Goaltending Academy. His background in strength training, education, and player development will be a tremendous asset to our athletes.

Matt Benton – Chicago/Regional Scout

A former GLJHL Champion and collegiate player, Matt brings 15+ years of coaching and player development experience. As owner of Puck Star Hockey, he has helped countless players advance to the next level.

Jack Collins – Regional Scout

Jack’s experience includes NCAA hockey, time with the AHL’s Worcester Sharks, and coaching alongside some of Illinois hockey’s most respected instructors. His extensive network and hockey knowledge will strengthen our recruiting efforts.

Michael Natoli – Director of Youth Development & Regional

Michael, a former collegiate player with extensive junior hockey experience, has dedicated himself to developing young athletes through The Lab Training Facility. He will help bridge the gap between youth and junior hockey while creating opportunities for players at every level.
